Summer vacation are over and children are all set to join school. With the starting of academic session, the question of what to give children in tiffin also keep mothers’ mind occupied.
But worry not as we have compiled a list of some yumilicious and energy packed lunches that will not be loved by your children, but their friends too. So just scroll down and check out the recipes.
Children love chocolates and when you give them tiffin filled with these sweet goodies, they are going to shower all their love on you and flaunt their mother’s culinary skills in front of their friends. To make these all you require is some bread slices, chocolate syrup or chocolate chips, a handful of nuts (choose from pistachios or almonds or hazelnuts). Just butter the slices and sprinkle chocolate chips along with nuts. Once done, cover with bread slice and toast it in a pan or sandwich maker. Serve, once they become crispy.
Sweet corn fried rice
This combination of rice and veggies will be loved by children, as the sweet corn fried rice is colourful and full of taste. All you require is sweet corn, boiled rice, seasonal veggies along with garlic, onions and chilies (be careful of chilies, as you kids may not like it to be spicy). Add some chopped garlic into preheated oil, follow it up with onions and chilies. Once they turn golden, add capsicum, corn and parsley. Once you sauté the vegetables, add soya sauce and vinegar, separately mix black pepper powder, salt and little olive oil(if required) with the boiled rice. Once all this is ready, mix the rice with the veggie mixture. Toss it and you are done!
We all love pizza, especially kids. We usually consider it unhealthy, but you have the option of making it healthier by make it at home with handpicked bread and toppings. You can make your children eat spinach through this pizza. Just mix cooked spinach with onion and parsley in a bowl, add chilli flakes, cumin seeds and salt. Once done, apply tomato sauce on the pizza base and also put the spinach mix, top it up with cheese and some herbs. Place the same in preheated oven 220 C/450 C. Take out once cooked.
This is easy to make and can be prepared in a jiffy. You would require boiled eggs, spring onions, tomatoes, red onions and lettuce leaves chopped. Mix all this and add salt, pepper, you can add a little bit of taco masala. Spread it on a bread slice and cover it with another. Place it on pan and let it turn a bit crispy. Let your children enjoy a sumptuous meal.
Prepare these dishes for your kids’ lunch and get ready for the compliments.
